Flavoured Rooibos Infusions
Rooibos is a plant native to South Africa's Cedarberg region, where the locals have been bruising and fermenting the leaves of Aspalathus Linearis for centuries. Infused Rooibos has a naturally sweet, rounded flavour, which lends itself well to the Western palate. The colour of the liquor is a beautiful russet-orange like the South African sunsets under which the plant is grown.
There is some evidence to suggest that Rooibos can help calm indigestion, aid a good night's sleep and even soothe skin conditions such as eczema, and it is certainly hailed for its health benefits in its native lands. Being naturally caffeine free, it is excellent for those seeking a lower caffeine diet.
From a tea-blender's point of view, one of Rooibos' appealing properties is how well it goes with other flavours, in particular the sweeter, creamier flavours seem to work particularly well: judging by our sales figures, the Great British Public would recommend the Creme-Caramel and Vanilla flavours - yummy!
Our Organic Rooibos from South Africa has a lovely rounded flavour and a russet-orange colour and must surely be one of the most economical herbal drinks around, especially given its organic status. Dedlicious with or without milk, its flavours are also suited to the addition a spoonful of honey and a slice of lemon as well.
Rooibos, Crème Caramel Pieces and caramel flavour.
An absolutely killer combination; this is just fabulous. The caramel hugs you from inside and the Rooibos is the perfect vehicle for it: a great success with every taster. There was disagreement in our real-opinions panel of tasters as to whether or not this was better with or without milk... so you'll just have to decide for yourself.
Rooibos and vanilla flavour.
Sweet and smooth and particularly yummy if you like vanilla (and who doesn't, let's be honest)
Rooibos, Strawberry pieces and flavour.
Classic English fare, but in a Rooibos tea. Fruity, rounded, and naturally sweet - perfect for Wimbledon week!
Rooibos, cinnamon pieces, cardamom seed, spicy cloves, red berries and flavour.
Fabulous spicy overtones and particularly good over the colder months - a sort of light Rooibos chai really, and remember it's caffeine free too.
Rooibos and bergamot flavour
A naturally caffeine-free version of an English classic. Although it might seem like an unexpected combination to some, the citrusy Bergamot actually balances the sweetness of the Rooibos really very well indeed.
Rooibos, orange peels, sunflower blossoms and flavour.
Quince is a most English of flavours, which combines beautifully with sharp Orange to create this delicious sweet yet citrusy Rooibos.
Green rooibos, sunflower blossoms and flavour.
A light, organic-tasting floral-scented Green Rooibos. As with Green tea, Green Rooibos is unfermented lending it a more subtle taste. The refreshing side to Rooibos, otherwise often associated with a milky drink before bed.
